The University of Delhi (DU) has released the first round of undergraduate seat allocations under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) 2026, officially opening the admission process for the 2026-27 academic session.

Candidates can now check their allotment status by logging into the CSAS portal at admission.uod.ac.in using their CUET UG 2026 application number and password. The result page displays whether an applicant has been allotted a seat, along with the assigned college and programme.
Basis of Allocation
The allotment has been prepared using candidates’ CUET-UG 2026 scores, programme preferences submitted during registration, and seat availability across the university’s colleges.
Steps to Check Your DU Seat Allotment
- Visit the official CSAS portal at admission.uod.ac.in.
- Log in using your CUET UG 2026 application number and password.
- Your allotment status will be displayed on the dashboard.
- Use “Ctrl+F” (Windows) or “Command+F” (Mac) to search your application number or name within the list.
- Download or take a printout of the allotment for your records.
What to Do Next: Acceptance and Verification Timeline
Candidates who have been allotted a seat now need to complete the following steps within the prescribed windows:
- Seat acceptance: Log in to the CSAS portal and accept the allocation between today, July 16 (5 pm), and July 21 (4:59 pm).
- Document verification: The respective colleges will scrutinise and verify submitted documents before approving admissions, with this process scheduled to continue until July 22.
- Fee payment: The final deadline for paying the admission fee is July 23. Candidates who fail to accept the seat or complete fee payment within the timeline risk losing their admission.
Candidates dissatisfied with their allotted college or course can also opt for an “Upgrade” instead of freezing their current allotment, allowing them to reorder higher preferences within the round.
Strong Response This Admission Cycle
More than 2.73 lakh candidates registered on the CSAS portal this year, while over 2.06 lakh applicants went on to submit their college and course preferences. B.Com (Honours) has emerged as the most preferred undergraduate programme among applicants.
If You Haven’t Been Allotted a Seat
Candidates who did not receive a seat in this round, or those aiming for a higher preference college or course, will get further opportunities in the subsequent rounds of allocation. DU will conduct three main rounds in total, followed by a spot round for any seats still vacant after that.
