TN MBBS/BDS 2026 Online Application Window Reopens: Apply by July 27

The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DME), Tamil Nadu, has reopened the online application portal for admission to MBBS and BDS degree courses for the 2026-2027 academic session. The decision follows representations received from students who were unable to complete their registrations within the earlier deadline.

Who Can Apply

The reopened window is meant strictly for candidates whose applications are yet to be submitted. Those who have not completed their registration can use this extension to submit their online applications. The committee has clarified that this is a onetime measure for the welfare of students, and no further extensions will be granted. Applications or documents received after the last date will not be accepted.

Notes on Editing and Scrutiny

  • Editing of already submitted applications is not permitted under any circumstances.
  • Scrutiny of applications received prior to this extension is already underway, and allowing edits to those applications at this stage would delay the process.
  • Candidates who have already submitted applications with minor clerical or typographical errors need not worry — such errors will be considered and verified during document verification and scrutiny.

Candidates are advised to complete their submissions well before the revised deadline. The application portal can be accessed via tnmedicalselection.net.

Important: Last date for the reopened application window is 27 July 2026, 3:00 PM.
