The Committee had earlier published the list of documents required for the UG medical application on April 28, giving candidates adequate lead time before opening the application window on June 29. As of the latest update, more than 41,000 completed applications have been received.

With the NEET UG 2026 result declared on July 16, the application window will remain open for one more week to accommodate candidates applying based on their fresh scores.

No Extension Planned

The Selection Committee has clarified there will be no extension to the deadline. It cited several downstream processes that require a fixed cut-off date, including scrutiny of all applications, publication of lists of ineligible candidates, operation of a Grievance Redressal Window for candidates found ineligible during scrutiny, and the tight schedule expected for UG medical counselling to be conducted by the DGHS.

Candidates have been advised to complete and submit their applications well ahead of the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
