The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NEET UG 2026 qualifying cutoff marks along with its official “Key Data Points of NEET (UG) Over Years” report. A total of 11,21,185 candidates have qualified this year out of 22,79,743 who registered and 19,99,895 who appeared for the exam.
Key highlights from the NTA report:
- General/EWS cutoff fixed at 715–213 marks (50th percentile and above)
- OBC, SC, ST cutoff fixed at 212–177 marks (40th–50th percentile)
- 11,21,185 total qualifiers – down from 12,36,531 in 2025 and 13,15,853 in 2024
- Women recorded a higher qualification rate than men
- Uttar Pradesh topped both registrations and qualifiers among all states
- 2,79,848 candidates remained absent, sharply higher than 66,751 in 2025
NEET UG 2026 Category-Wise Cutoff Marks
For the General/EWS category, the qualifying percentile was fixed at the 50th percentile and above, translating to a marks range of 715–213, under which 9,96,935 candidates qualified. OBC, SC and ST candidates needed to score between the 40th and 50th percentile, corresponding to 212–177 marks, qualifying 81,111 OBC, 29,947 SC and 12,452 ST candidates.
For candidates with disabilities, the cutoff was relaxed further. UR/EWS & PwBD candidates needed the 45th–50th percentile (212–194 marks), qualifying 480 candidates, while OBC & PwBD, SC & PwBD and ST & PwBD candidates needed the 40th–45th percentile (193–177 marks), qualifying 185, 64 and 11 candidates respectively.

The data shows a notably tighter General/EWS cutoff in 2026 compared to the previous two years, even as the total number of qualifiers fell to the lowest in three years.
