The Directorate of Higher & Technical Education (DHTE), Government of Arunachal Pradesh, has asked candidates who appeared for NEET UG 2026 to submit their details online if they wish to know their provisional inter-se merit position among candidates from the state.
According to a circular issued by DHTE on July 17, candidates can submit their details through a link available on the official websites, www.apdhte.nic.in and www.apjee.co.in, within July 30.
What the Circular Says
The Directorate clarified that this exercise is only meant to give candidates an idea of their provisional inter-se merit position and does not constitute registration for counselling.
“This is ONLY for knowing one’s provisional inter-se merit position,” the circular stated, adding that a temporary merit position will be worked out based on the details candidates submit through the portal.
Separate Counselling Registration Still Required
Candidates have been told they will still need to separately and invariably register on the official DHTE portal and complete all required formalities for counselling and seat allotment. The schedule for this registration process will be announced at a later date, the circular said.
Background
In Arunachal Pradesh, admissions to MBBS, BDS and other PCB group courses under the state quota are decided through an inter-se merit list prepared by DHTE, based on NEET UG scores and the state’s own tie-breaking criteria. The list determines the order in which candidates are called for choice-filling and seat allotment once formal counselling begins.
