NTA Postpones CUET UG 2026 Exams Scheduled for May 28

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the postponement of the Common University Entrance Test — Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2026 examinations that were originally scheduled for May 28, 2026.

Both shifts of the exam on that date have been called off following the government’s revision of the Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) holiday date.

The NTA issued a public notice citing a Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) Office Memorandum dated May 22, 2026, which outlined the revised holiday schedule for the occasion. The agency confirmed that the decision was taken in accordance with the Government of India’s official notification on the matter.

New dates for the affected candidates will be announced shortly. In the meantime, students are advised to keep a regular check on NTA’s official websites for the latest updates.

CUET-UG 2026 is being conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, with May 31, 2026 currently listed as the last scheduled exam date. It remains to be seen how the rescheduled exams will be accommodated within or beyond that window.

Candidates who had their examination slotted for May 28 should stay alert for further communication from NTA regarding their new exam date and admit card details.
