Aspiring doctors and dentists in Gujarat have a new registration window to watch. The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), functioning under the Government of Gujarat and headquartered at GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, has begun online registration for first-year Medical and Dental undergraduate seats for 2026-27. The process covers Government, Grant-in-Aid and Self-Financed colleges throughout the state.
Eligibility at a Glance
A candidate qualifies for this admission round if they tick all of the following boxes:
- Completed 12th Standard in the Science Stream (B/AB Group), either from the Gujarat Board or from a Gujarat-based school affiliated to CBSE, ICSE, Cambridge University, or NIOS
- Have a valid NEET-UG 2026 All India Rank
- Satisfy other eligibility conditions set by Gujarat’s Health and Family Welfare Department and the concerned admission commission/council
Three-Step Registration Timeline
- Buy the Online PIN — 31 July 2026 to 12 August 2026 (till 12:00 Noon)
- Complete Online Registration — 31 July 2026 to 12 August 2026 (till 4:00 PM)
- Verify & Submit Documents at a Help Center — 3 August 2026 to 13 August 2026 (till 4:00 PM)
What the PIN Costs
Candidates need to purchase their PIN from www.medadmgujarat.org. The break-up:
- Rs. 1,000 — non-refundable processing charge
- Rs. 10,000 — refundable security deposit
- Total payable: Rs. 11,000
After Registration: Document Verification
Registration alone doesn’t complete the process. Candidates must:
- Book a prior appointment for document verification
- Carry self-attested photocopies of all required documents to their chosen Help Center
- Pick their preferred verification date and Help Center location while printing the Registration Slip

- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
- Closed on Sundays and public holidays
Applying Under Local Quota? Read This
Students aiming for Local Quota seats at either of these two colleges need an extra document:
- Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad
- Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education & Research (SMIMER), Surat
Besides the standard online registration, such candidates must separately obtain a local-student certificate from the Dean of the respective college confirming their status as a local student of Ahmedabad or Surat.
A Note for NRI Applicants
NRI candidates have one additional step after submitting their online application — depositing a Demand Draft of Rs. 10,000, made in favour of “ACPUGMEC” and payable at Gandhinagar. This DD must reach the ACPUGMEC office at GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, and nowhere else.
