KEA Releases UGNEET 2026 Document Verification Notice for Karnataka Candidates

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has notified the document verification process for UGNEET 2026 courses, spelling out which candidates are exempt and which ones must appear in person.

Exemptions From Verification

KEA has clarified that two sets of candidates need not undergo verification:

Medical Lead

Medical Admission 2026: Cutoff, Fees, Seats etc.

  • Those who have already downloaded their verification slip after entering their NEET roll number.
  • Those who registered afresh and have not staked any reservation claim.

Candidates Who Must Appear

Verification is mandatory only for candidates who qualified UGNEET 2026, registered with KEA, entered their NEET roll number, and made specific claims in their application. KEA has grouped these into four categories:

NRI, NRI Ward and Foreign National claimants – must report to the KEA office at 18th Cross, Malleswaram, Bengaluru.

CET-2026 registrants who missed downloading their verification slip on account of Kannada, Rural, or Linguistic/Religious Minority claims – also directed to the KEA office at Malleswaram.

Freshly registered candidates with Kannada, Rural, or Linguistic/Religious Minority claims – verification at the same KEA venue.

Candidates who claimed Category RC-2 through RC-8 for St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru – must appear at the Medical College Council Room, Ground Floor, St. John’s Medical College, Koramangala. Those under RC-1 and RC-9 for the same college have been excluded from this requirement.

Verification Guidelines and Slot Booking

  • Attendance is strictly in person; KEA has ruled out representatives attending on a candidate’s behalf.
  • Candidates have been asked to consult the information booklet on the KEA website for the exact list of original documents needed.
  • Slot booking opens on the KEA website from 02-08-2026 via the “Slot Book” link, after which candidates can pick their preferred date.
  • The verification window runs from 04-08-2026 to 08-08-2026, limited to candidates who have booked a slot.

Candidates are advised to track the official KEA website for any further updates on the UGNEET 2026 verification schedule.
