Puducherry NEET UG Counselling 2026: Registration Open for MBBS, BDS & BAMS Seats

Candidates who cleared UG NEET 2026 and are eyeing a medical, dental, ayurveda or veterinary seat in Puducherry can now apply online. The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), functioning under the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Puducherry, has thrown open registrations for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS (Ayurveda) and BVSc & AH courses for the 2026-27 academic year, as per Notice Ref. No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/01 dated 30 July 2026.

What This Notification Covers

The seats on offer span Government and self-financing institutions across medicine, dentistry, ayurveda and veterinary science in the Union Territory, distributed among several quota categories.

Certificates Puducherry-Residency Claimants Must Upload

Anyone applying under Puducherry residency needs renewed certificates dated on or after 01 January 2026:

  • Residence Certificate
  • Community Certificate (certificates issued in the Central Educational Institutions format won’t be accepted)
  • EWS Certificate – issued on or after 01 April 2026
  • Income Certificate – obtained on or after 01 April 2026
  • Regional Reservation certificate (Karaikal / Mahe / Yanam), wherever applicable
  • Special Reservation certificates, wherever applicable:
    • Freedom Fighter (FF) certificate
    • UDID card for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD)
    • Ex-Serviceman (ESM) certificate
    • Meritorious Sports Person (MSP) certificate
    • Government School Quota Transfer Certificate (continuous study, Std. 1–12, in Puducherry Govt. schools)
  • Telugu Minority Quota Certificate (school records showing Telugu as mother tongue)

Points Every Applicant Should Note

  • Enter your NEET All-India Rank exactly as shown on the NEET 2026 Score Card.
  • Double-check every field before hitting submit — no room for careless errors.
  • Applications showing residency/nativity claims in more than one state, or backed by fake certificates, will be rejected outright, and legal proceedings may follow.
  • Filing more than one application as a single candidate cancels both applications.

A Note for Meritorious Sports Person (MSP) Applicants

  • Puducherry-region MSP candidates must hand-deliver a self-attested copy of their sports certificates, along with the application copy, at the CENTAC office, Kamarajar Manimandapam, by 6 August 2026, 5:00 PM.
  • MSP candidates from Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam should upload a self-attested scanned copy (single PDF) via their login dashboard by the same deadline.
  • The MSP quota guidelines under G.O. No. 16 (dated 14.07.2026) remain subject to the outcome of pending writ petitions (W.P. Nos. 28148/2026 and 29331/2026) before the Madras High Court.
