NEET UG 2026 Re-Examination on June 21, NTA Officially Announces New Exam Date

Candidates who appeared for the cancelled exam will be eligible for the re-test without fresh registration.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced that the NEET UG 2026 re-examination will be conducted on June 21, 2026. The decision comes after the cancellation of the earlier NEET UG 2026 examination amid allegations of irregularities and paper leak concerns reported from multiple centres across the country.

According to the latest notification issued by the NTA, all candidates who appeared for the previously cancelled examination will be eligible to appear in the re-test. The agency clarified that students will not be required to complete fresh registration for the re-examination, and existing application details will remain valid.

The revised admit cards for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam are expected to be released a few days before the examination on the official NTA NEET website. Candidates are advised to regularly check official updates regarding exam city slips, admit cards, and revised guidelines.

NEET UG is the country’s largest medical entrance examination conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other undergraduate medical courses across India. The announcement of the re-exam date has brought clarity for lakhs of aspirants who were waiting for the revised schedule.

Education experts have advised students to remain focused on revision and avoid confusion caused by unofficial information circulating on social media. Since the examination is now scheduled for June 21, candidates have additional time to strengthen important topics and practice mock tests.

Further details regarding examination centres, timing, and result dates are expected to be released soon by the NTA.
