NTA To NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Likely in June-End or Early July

Existing applications and exam city preferences will remain valid for the fresh test.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to conduct the NEET UG 2026 re-exam in the last week of June or the first week of July after the cancellation of the May 3 exam over alleged paper leak concerns. According to media reports, preparations for the fresh examination are being carried out on priority to avoid delays in the upcoming MBBS academic session.

Sources suggest that the agency is preparing a completely new question paper under a confidential process while also planning stricter security arrangements for the re-test. However, the NTA has not yet officially confirmed the revised examination date.

The NEET UG 2026 examination was cancelled earlier this week following allegations of malpractice and paper leak incidents. The matter has also been handed over to the CBI for investigation.

Officials have clarified that candidates will not have to register again for the re-exam. Existing applications and exam city preferences will remain valid for the fresh test.

Meanwhile, students across the country have resumed preparation as coaching institutes restart classes and mock tests in anticipation of the revised schedule.
