Patna: Popular YouTube educator and Khan Global Studies founder Khan Sir has landed in serious legal trouble following a violent confrontation at his Patna coaching centre that has now snowballed into a complex criminal case involving attempt to murder charges.
What Happened on June 2?
On the night of June 2, a group of approximately 15 to 20 individuals allegedly stormed the Khan Global Studies premises in the Musallahpur Haat area, damaging property and assaulting a security guard. Khan Sir initially alleged that the attackers had fired eight to ten rounds of gunfire – however, Patna Police found no immediate evidence of shooting during their preliminary review of CCTV footage.
Investigation Takes a Dramatic Turn
The case shifted significantly when authorities obtained and verified new video footage showing two individuals firing shots into the air. Police identified the shooters as security guards employed at Khan Sir’s own institute.
According to City SP (Central) Diksha, the two guards — identified as Pradeep and Taleshwar — were taken into custody and arrested after admitting to firing shots under the instructions of Khan Sir. Their weapons have been seized and sent to a Forensic Science Laboratory for further examination.

Police have registered a case against educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, two arrested security guards, and other unidentified persons in connection with the June 2 disturbance. The FIR includes provisions under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with attempt to murder, along with relevant sections of the Arms Act.
Rival Coach Already Arrested
After the incident, Khan Sir told media that his coaching institute had been attacked and fired upon. To this complaint, police arrested Gyan Bindu Coaching director Roshan Anand and sent him to jail. Following his arrest, students associated with Gyan Bindu Coaching staged protests across Patna, carrying posters and banners demanding Roshan Anand’s release and calling for a fair and unbiased investigation.
Arrest Team Formed — Khan Sir’s Whereabouts Unknown
A dedicated police team has been formed specifically to arrest Faisal Khan. Police sources indicate the arrest could happen at any moment, with Khan Sir’s current whereabouts remaining unknown. Patna Police reached the Khan Global Studies campus, where thousands of students gathered, creating a tense atmosphere.
Khan Sir Breaks Silence
In his first official response since being named in the case, Khan Sir declared that while he had not yet received formal notification of the FIR, he intends to comply fully with the ongoing investigation — stating, “If an FIR has been filed, I will fully cooperate with the police.”
A Coaching War Behind It All?
The incident is widely seen as part of a deepening “coaching war” in Patna, potentially fuelled by competing claims over student results in the recently declared Bihar Police constable recruitment examination.
The investigation remains ongoing. All eyes are now on whether Khan Sir will surrender or be arrested by police.
