Patna: Leader of Opposition and RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Monday took to his official Facebook account to launch a fierce attack on the Bihar NDA government, raising alarm over the state’s crumbling law and order situation.
In a hard-hitting Facebook post that quickly went viral, Yadav demanded accountability from the ruling government, citing the staggering figure of 8,681 children who went missing from Bihar in just one month, with 85 percent of them being girls.
What Tejashwi Wrote on Facebook
Addressing the government directly in his post, Yadav wrote that women, children and ordinary citizens across Bihar are living in fear today. He accused the Chief Minister of running the state on empty rhetoric and “dialogue-baiting” rather than concrete governance.
Citing the NAARI 2025 Report in his Facebook post, Yadav claimed that Patna has been ranked the most unsafe city in the country for women — a damning indictment, he said, of the NDA administration’s failure to protect its citizens.
He further alleged that more than 75 rape and gang-rape incidents were reported across the state within just a few days, with criminals brazenly entering homes. Daylight robberies targeting goldsmiths, and daily occurrences of murder, looting and theft across every district were also flagged in the post.

Key Incidents Highlighted
In his Facebook post, Yadav pointed to two specific incidents that have triggered widespread outrage:
- The alleged murder of a NEET student who was also a rape survivor.
- A case in Patna where a minor girl, who had traveled to the city to appear for a Polytechnic examination, was allegedly harassed and subjected to an abduction attempt at a hotel.
“Girls from across Bihar’s districts live and study in Patna, but under the NDA government, their safety has become deeply worrying,” Yadav wrote.
Sharp Words for the Chief Minister
The Facebook post reserved its sharpest language for Bihar’s Chief Minister, whom Yadav called an “artificial CM” who spends time making reels and delivering theatrical dialogues instead of using AI-enabled cameras and modern policing tools that he himself claims to champion. He alleged that fear of police and law has completely collapsed under the current dispensation.
Closing his post with a firm declaration, Yadav wrote: “We will not allow any compromise on the safety of women.”
Political Significance
Tejashwi Yadav’s Facebook post is being seen as part of the RJD’s sustained offensive against the Bihar government on the law and order issue. The post garnered significant attention on social media shortly after being published, with opposition supporters sharing it widely across platforms.
The Bihar government has not yet issued any official response to the claims and figures cited in the post.
