Serious allegations of illegal money collection have surfaced at Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University-affiliated Rajendra Mishra Mahavidyalaya after a complaint was received on The Jan Post’s official email Id (hi@thejanpost.com). The complaint accuses certain college officials and employees of collecting extra money from students without issuing any official receipts.
According to the complainant, who identified himself as a student of the college, students are allegedly being forced to pay additional charges during admission and examination form submission processes. The complaint claims that these collections are not part of any officially notified fee structure and that no transparent record of the money is maintained.
The complaint specifically names a computer operator, identified as Md. Haider, alleging that although the official examination form fee is ₹1000, students are being charged ₹1100. It is further alleged that even students who generate challans through private cyber cafes are still required to pay an additional ₹50 at the college.
The complainant has also shared calculations suggesting that if every student is charged an extra ₹100, the total amount collected illegally could run into several lakhs of rupees. According to the complaint, around 2,500 students are enrolled in the current semester across various courses, and the total number of students across all semesters is estimated to be between 6,000 and 7,000. Based on these figures, the complainant has alleged that nearly ₹14 lakh may have been collected through unauthorized charges linked to admissions and examination forms.
The Jan Post has also received two videos along with the complaint. However, The Jan Post has not independently verified the authenticity of the videos or the allegations mentioned in the complaint.
The complainant has urged the university administration and the Bihar government to conduct a high-level investigation into the matter and take strict action against those found responsible. The student has also demanded the permanent suspension of the accused officials and employees to ensure transparency and accountability in the education system.
As of now, no official response has been issued by the college administration or the university regarding the allegations. The Jan Post remains open to publishing the response or clarification of the concerned authorities.
