MCC NEET UG Stray Round 2026 Reporting Closes Today at 2 PM

Reporting for the MCC NEET UG 2026 stray round closes at 2:00 PM on 27 October 2026. The original reporting window ran from 19 to 26 October 2026 and MCC extended it by a few hours for candidates who could not complete formalities.

What Has MCC Announced?

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), which conducts all-India counselling for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc. Nursing seats, has allowed stray round reporting until 2:00 PM today. The update appears under the latest news section of the official UG Medical Counselling page on mcc.nic.in.

According to MCC, some institutes had not completed the admission formalities for stray round candidates because of technical issues. The extension ensures that allotted candidates are not denied admission because of problems at the institute’s end.

Who Should Report Before 2 PM?

The deadline applies to candidates who were allotted a seat in the NEET UG 2026 stray round and have not yet joined their allotted institute. Candidates who have already completed reporting and admission formalities do not need to do anything further.

What Should Candidates Do Now?

  1. Go to the allotted college immediately, as the cut-off is 2:00 PM today.
  2. Carry the stray round allotment letter, along with original documents and photocopies as mentioned in the MCC notice.
  3. Complete document verification and admission formalities at the institute.
  4. Pay the fees where applicable and collect the admission receipt.

What Happens If a Candidate Misses the Deadline?

The stray round is the final round of MCC’s NEET UG 2026 counselling, which followed Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3. A candidate who does not report within the time allowed may lose the allotted seat, and no further MCC round is available after this one. Candidates should not wait for another extension.

Where Can Candidates Get Help?

MCC provides a 24×7 toll-free helpline, listed in the Contact Us section of its website. Candidates can also call 7824848020 or write to mcc2026@gov.in. Updates should be checked only on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.
