Medical Admission 2026: Cutoff, Fees, Seats etc.

The earlier MCC schedule had set stray round registration to begin on October 12. The new notice moves the start by a day to October 13.

The notice does not mention any change to the closing date or to the later stages. Candidates should keep following the published schedule and watch the MCC website for revisions.

Dates candidates should remember

According to the published MCC schedule:

  • Registration closes on October 14 at 3 PM, and fee payment closes at 6 PM.
  • Choice filling and choice locking continue till 10 AM on October 15.
  • The seat allotment result is scheduled for October 17.
  • Reporting to the allotted institute runs from October 19 to 26.

MCC has revised dates at short notice in the past, so these dates can change.

Which seats are included

The stray vacancy round fills seats that remain vacant after Round 3. It covers:

  • 15% All India Quota seats
  • 100% seats in deemed universities
  • 100% seats in central universities
  • AFMC and AIIMS/JIPMER seats

State quota seats are not part of this round. State counselling authorities fill those seats through their own rounds.

How to register

  1. Go to mcc.nic.in and open the UG Medical Counselling section.
  2. Complete a fresh registration, as MCC requires new registration for this round.
  3. Pay the counselling fee before the payment window closes.
  4. Fill and lock your choices once choice filling opens.
  5. Check the allotment result and report to the allotted institute with your original documents.

Who should check the rules first

Candidates who got a seat in an earlier round, or have already joined a college, should read the eligibility and exit rules in the MCC information bulletin before registering. A candidate who gets a seat in the stray round must join that seat.
