Bihar Board Matric Pass Scholarship 2026 (10th Pass)
According to the scheme of the Mukhyamantri Balak/Balika Protsahan Yojana, the state government is offering financial assistance to all qualified students irrespective of gender and social stratum who have completed their class 10th examination from BSEB in 2026. Bihar Mukhyamantri Medhavriti Yojana 2026 (12th Pass – SC/ST Girls)
Mukhyamantri Anusuchit Jati evam Anusuchit Janjati Medhavriti Yojana (Intermediate) is a dedicated program specifically for girls belonging to SC & ST categories and who have successfully completed class 12th from the Bihar Board in the year 2026. This program is among the most financially rewarding programs that provide an amount of up to ₹15,000 per year.
Notes: SC & ST category girl students getting first division at inter level will get ₹15,000 while second division girl candidates will get ₹10,000.

Eligibility Criteria
Matric Pass Scholarship 2026 (10th)
- Pass Class 10 (Matric) examination conducted by Bihar Board (BSEB) in 2026.
- Should secure 1st Division or 2nd Division. Students securing 3rd division or in compartment are not eligible.
- Should be a permanent resident of Bihar state.
- Eligible irrespective of social category – General, OBC, EBC, SC, ST, and Minority (Both Boys and Girls).
- The student must have an Aadhaar linked Bank Account in his/her name.
- Full Name mentioned in scholarship application form must exactly match the name on Aadhaar Card and bank account.
- Candidates already availing this scholarship for the above said examination are not eligible.
For Mukhyamantri Medhavriti Yojana 2026 (12th – SC/ST Girls)
- Girl Student belonging to SC/ST category.
- Must have passed Class 12 (Intermediate) Examination conducted by Bihar Board (BSEB) in 2026 securing 1st or 2nd Division.
- Should be a permanent resident of Bihar state.
- Valid Caste Certificate (SC/ST) from competent authority.
- Aadhaar Linked Bank Account must be there in the name of student.
- Not eligible candidates of CBSE/ICSE or any other examination board.
- Even Married Girls are eligible under this Scheme.

Both the schemes can be applied online from the MedhaSoft Portal – medhasoft.bih.nic.in. Here are the steps to apply online:
- Access the Official Website: Open your browser and visit medhasoft.bihar.gov.in the official portal managed by the National Informatics Centre for Student Scholarships in Bihar.
- Choose a Scheme: At the homepage of the website, choose any of the above schemes – Matric Pass Scholarship 2026 for 10th pass students and Mukhyamantri Medhavriti Yojana (Intermediate) for 12th pass SC/ST girls.
- Look Out For your Name: Before you register yourself, check whether your name figures among the students’ eligible list in the portal. Enter your Registration No. and Date of Birth to know the result. In case you don’t find your name there, contact either your school or BSEB.
- Registration/Log in: If you see your name there, click on the “Student Click Here to Apply” option and enter your mobile number and Aadhaar No. An OTP will be sent to your mobile no. for verification.
- How to Apply Online through MedhaSoft Portal – Process
Both scholarships have common MedhaSoft Portal (medhasoft.bih.nic.in). The following step by step process needs to be followed for completing the application process successfully - Filling the Online Form: Fill all the details very carefully. These include personal information like Father/Mother’s name, Address, Category, and Bank details (Bank Account Number & IFSC Code).
- Document Upload: Upload scanned copy of required documents. These documents include Aadhaar, Marksheet, Passbook, Photograph, and Caste Certificate (in case of SC, ST, & OBC). Ensure that these documents are below size limit.
- Verification of Bank Details: It is the most important step. You need to verify Bank Account Number, IFSC Code, and Account Name. Failure to do so may lead to payment failure.
- Final Submit: After ensuring all details, you can click ‘Final Submit’. After final submit, the form becomes locked and cannot be changed.
- Acknowledgement: Download and print acknowledgment receipt displaying your Application No. It will be needed to check status of application in future.
