The online counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions in Uttar Pradesh has been put on hold. The Office of the Director General, Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, announced the suspension through an official notice. The notice says the UP NEET UG 2026 counselling is postponed until further orders, citing “unavoidable reasons”.

The department has not explained what these reasons are. It has also not announced a revised schedule or a date on which the counselling will resume. The notice is addressed to all candidates taking part in the UP NEET UG 2026 online counselling for MBBS and BDS courses.
