NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam: City Intimation Slip Expected Soon, Admit Card to Be Released by June 14

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the city intimation slip for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination shortly on its official portal – neet.nta.nic.in. The admit card for the re-exam is confirmed to be out by June 14, 2026, as announced by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Re-Exam Scheduled for June 21

The NEET UG 2026 re-examination will be conducted on June 21, 2026, in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in offline (pen-and-paper) mode. The re-exam was necessitated following a paper leak in the original NEET UG 2026 examination held on May 3, after which the exam was officially cancelled on May 12.

Over 22 lakh registered candidates are expected to sit for the re-examination across the country.

What Is the City Intimation Slip?

The city intimation slip is an advance document issued by NTA that informs candidates about the city where their exam centre will be located. It is not the same as the admit card – it does not disclose the exact exam centre address. Its primary purpose is to help students plan their travel and accommodation ahead of the exam day.

The slip will include details such as the candidate’s name, application number, father’s name, date of birth, category, exam date, exam time, and the allotted exam city and state.

  3. Enter your application number, date of birth, and security code
  4. Submit the credentials and view your allotted city

Admit Card on June 14

The NTA will release the hall ticket for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam by June 14, 2026, through candidate login accounts on neet.nta.nic.in. Registered students will need their application number and password to download it.

Fee Refund Deadline Extended

In a related update, the NTA has extended the deadline for candidates to submit their bank account details for examination fee refunds to June 22, 2026 (11:50 PM). This facility is available even for those who choose to appear in the re-examination. Candidates should log in to the refund portal and submit their details before the deadline.

What’s Next for Candidates

Students are advised to keep checking the official NTA website regularly for updates on the city intimation slip release. Once the slip is available, they should verify all printed details carefully and use the city information to make travel arrangements well in advance of the June 21 re-exam.
