Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) has cancelled the provisional seat allotment of 16 candidates in the first and second rounds of UK NEET UG 2026 Uttarakhand State Centralized Counselling. The cancellations were notified in two lists issued by the Member Secretary, NEET UG 2026, Uttarakhand Centralized Counselling Board. The first list, covering 15 candidates, was published on September 28, 2026, and a second list, covering one more candidate, followed on September 29, 2026.
Why Were the Allotments Cancelled?
In Rounds 1 and 2, provisional seats were allotted on the basis of merit, the choices submitted by candidates, and their claims regarding domicile, category and sub-category.
During the admission process, the domicile, category and sub-category certificates of admitted candidates, and of those who opted for FLOAT, were verified through the principals of the respective institutions and the concerned District Magistrates. Based on the verification reports received from the districts, the university has cancelled the provisional allotments. The affected candidates have no claim over the seats allotted to them.

Among the 15 candidates in List I, one is marked “Seat left” (UR Orphan category, VCSG Srinagar) and another “Not taken Admission” (SC Orphan category, GMC Haldwani). The single candidate in List II was allotted a seat in the SC Women category at VCSGGIMS&R, Srinagar Garhwal. This is in addition to the 15 cancellations notified on September 28.
What Happens Next?
The university has said that further lists will follow. Once verification reports on domicile, category and sub-category certificates are received from the District Magistrates, the lists of affected candidates will be uploaded on the counselling portal from time to time.
