NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Official Answer Key Released; Objection Window Open Till June 28

NTA has released the Official answer key for NEET UG 2026 re-exam on neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can challenge answers till June 28 by paying ₹200 per question. Result expected by July 15, 2026.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Official answer key for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on its official website neet.nta.nic.in giving over 22 lakh medical aspirants their first chance to verify their responses after months of uncertainty stemming from the original exam’s paper leak controversy.

Background

The NTA had originally conducted NEET UG 2026 on May 3, 2026 in pen-and-paper (offline) mode. More than 22 lakh students had appeared in the exam a mandatory test for admission to MBBS, BUMS, BHMS, BAMS, and other medical and paramedical courses. However, the exam was subsequently cancelled following instances of paper leaks, and a re-examination was announced.

The NEET UG 2026 re-exam was held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at centres across India and at select centres outside the country, with over 22.79 lakh students appearing.

Answer Key Released for All Codes

The NTA has published the re-exam answer key for all question paper codes 50, 60, 70, and 80. Candidates can access the provisional answer key PDF directly on the official website.

Objection Window Open Till June 28

The challenge window is open from June 25 until June 28, 2026 (11:50 PM). Candidates can log in to neet.nta.nic.in, enter their Question Paper Series Code, select disputed questions, upload supporting evidence strictly from NCERT or standard textbooks, and pay a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question. If the challenge is accepted, the fee will be fully refunded.

The NTA has emphasised that the objection submission is one-time and final aspirants are advised to review everything carefully before confirming payment.

What’s Next

The NTA will release the NEET OMR Sheet 2026 PDF download link later, as response sheets are still being scanned. The NEET UG 2026 re-exam result is expected to be announced by July 15, 2026, based on the final answer key.

Before publishing the result, the NTA will release the NEET UG 2026 Final Answer Key after analysing all objections submitted by candidates. Along with the result, the agency will also prepare a Merit List and announce re-exam toppers along with their All India Rank (AIR). The NEET UG re-exam score and AIR will be used in medical admission counselling.
